New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold a ‘pull aside’ with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on July 9, the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Summit (SCO) in Ufa, Russia. Media reports have speculated that the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani during his time in Ufa. Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to attend a BRICS summits in Ufa, with a dinner hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin with the Prime Minister Modi expected to hold bilateral talks with the Russian leader as well as Chinese President Xi Jinping. The SCO summit is likely to see India, which is currently an observer of the grouping, acquire full membership.
