New Delhi: In a three-hour long meeting with the secretaries of various ministries at 7, Race Course Road, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the bureaucrats to give him suggestions on governance, sources said.
Modi told the secretaries that he was desirous of learning from their experience and expertise.
According to sources, he told the secretaries that they were free to contact him anytime, adding that he wanted them to directly reach out to him whenever needed.
In the meeting, which started at around 1800 IST, Modi first heard several of the bureaucrats present and then spoke for over an hour, the sources added.
Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Amitabh Kant, tweeted after the meeting that the interaction was “free” and “fearless”, and was “highly motivating”.
