New Delhi, Feb. 19 (ANI): The ethics committee of Delhi assembly has reportedly recommended the expulsion of Bharatiya Janata Party MLA O. P. Sharma from the house for using derogatory language against AAP MLA Alka Lamba.

The 10-member Ethics Committee headed by N. D Sharma of Delhi Assembly has held Sharma guilty of being a habitual offender for using unparliamentarily language against fellow members. The committee had recommended Sharma’s expulsion from the house to the Speaker.

The committee, in various meetings, had given Sharma an opportunity to explain the incident and apologise to Lamba. However, Sharma failed to do so.

The Delhi Assembly witnessed clashes between the AAP and Bharatiya Janata Party in November, 2015 after reports claimed that O P Sharma had referred to AAP MLA Alka Lamba as someone who roams around all night. (
