New Delhi: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Thursday pulled up the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for granting permission to hold spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s ‘World Culture Festival’ on the banks of Yamuna.

The DDA told the NGT that there was no purpose of stopping the function now. “Did not know about the size and scale of the event when permission was granted?” the DDA said. The NGT on its part said, “Was it not incumbent on the DDA to see what was happening on the site and the magnitude of the program?” The hearing in the matter is still on.
