Mumbai Mega Block on Sunday, March 31; train services on Central, Harbour and Western lines to be affected

Central Railway announced the details of Mega Block for Harbour Line and Central Line on Sunday, 31.03.2019. Western Railway also announced Jumbo Block details in Western Line on 31.03.2019.

CENTRAL LINE

Thane – Kalyan Dn Slow Line (10.30 am – 4.00 pm)

Dn Slow/Semi fast line services leaving Mulund station from 10.47 am to 3.50 pm will be diverted o­n Dn fast line between Mulund and Kalyan stations halting at Thane, Diva and Dombivli stations and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

Up fast/ Semi fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.37 am to 3.06 pm will halt at Diva, Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule beyond.

Down fast/Semi fast services leaving CSMT Mumbai Mumbai from 09.18 am to 2.54 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund and Diva stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule.

Dismantling of Foot Over Bridge at Kasara-End of Kalyan Station will also be carried out during the block period.

All Dn and Up slow locals leaving / arriving CSMT Mumbai from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

HARBOUR LINE

CSMT Mumbai – Chunabhatti /Bandra Dn harbour line (11.40 am to 4.10 pm) and Chunabhatti / Bandra – CSMT Mumbai Up Harbour Line (11.10 am – 3.40 pm)

Dn Harbour line services to Vashi / Belapur /Panvel leaving CSMT Mumbai Mumbai/Vadala Road from 11.34 am to 4.23 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon leaving CSMT Mumbai from 9.56 am to 4.16 pm will remain suspended.

Up Harbour line services for CSMT Mumbai Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 2.44 pm and Up Harbour line services for CSMT Mumbai Mumbai leaving Goregaon/Bandra from 10.45 am to 4.58 pm will remain suspended.

However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.

WESTERN LINE

No Day Block on Western Railway on Sunday

Night Block on Western Railway between various stations during midnight of 29th/30th March and 30th/31st March 2019

VASAI ROAD AND VAITARNA (11.50 pm – 02.50 am and 01.30 am – 04.30 am)

To carry out maintenance work block of 3 hrs each will be undertaken from 23.50 hrs to 02.50 hrs on UP Fast Line and from 01.30 hrs to 04.30 hrs on DOWN Fast line during intermittent night of 30 March/31 March, 2019 between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations.

During the block all UP and DOWN Mail/Express trains will be delayed by 15 minutes and MEMU 69149 scheduled to depart at 04.00 hrs will be delayed by 40 minutes and will depart from Virar at 04.40 hrs. Therefore, there will be no DAY BLOCK on Sunday, 31st March, 2019 on Western Railway.

Western Railway announced following Blocks

A block of 7hrs will be implemented on 30/03/19 from 23.00 to 06.00 hrs of 31/09/19 on UP and DN slow line bet Mahim to Bandra station. During the block, slow local will not avail halt at MX, PBHD and MRU and also will avail double halt at PL, MM, and KHAR.

A block of 7hrs will be implemented on 29/03/19 from 23.00 to 06.00 hrs of 30/09/19 on UP and DN slow line bet Mahim to Bandra station. During the block, slow local will not avail halt at MX, PBHD and MRU and also will avail double halt at PL, MM, and KHAR.

As per press release issued by Western Railway, on the midnight of 29th/30th March, 2019 (Friday/Saturday) and 30th/31st March, 2019 (Saturday/Sunday), another major night block of SEVEN HOURS each from 23.00 to 06.00 hrs on UP and DOWN Slow lines between Mahim and Bandra Local stations will be taken in hand for re-girdering on Bridge No.20.

During the block, all Dn Slow line trains will run on Dn Fast lines between Mumbai Central and Santacruz stations, hence these trains will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road for want of platform and will also take double halt at Lower Parel, Mahim and Khar due to inadequate platform length.

All Up slow lines trains will run on Up fast lines between Santacruz and Mumbai Central stations, hence these trains will not halt at Mahim, Matunga Road, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel and Mahalaxmi for want of platform but will take double halt at Khar station due to inadequate platform length.

Due to this block, some suburban trains will remain cancelled, the list of which is available with Station Master. Detailed information of all above blocks is available with concerned Station Masters.
