Beijing: At least one person was killed and seven others injured today in a knife attack in central China’s Hubei Province. The attack took place in Wuhan, capital of Hubei, where police detained a 38-year-old man and rushed eight injured to hospital after the incident, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. One of the injured later died after medical treatment and seven are still under emergency treatment.
An investigation into the attack is underway, the report said. Knife attacks by disgruntled people randomly targeting
people especially school children have become common in China. Chinese police have beefed up security all around the country to deal with such attacks.
