New Delhi: Coming down heavily on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP leader Kiran Bedi on Tuesday said the act of Kejriwal was “unforgivable”, and even if he says sorry, it won’t be enough.

“He deeply needs to regret what he has said, it has shocked the people, and it has saddened the people. I think he owes an apology to the nation, because he has called the Prime Minister a coward and a psycopath. This is not acceptable and tolerable,” Bedi said.

“This can’t be the language against the highest offices of the country. This is unforgivable, even if he says sorry it is not going to be enough,” he added.

The retired IPS officer also said that the Delhi Chief Minister has turned his protest to a protection.

“He has come out of protest, his party came out of protest in which we all worked together against corruption and that same thing is being done to protect corruption,” she added.

Bedi also questioned Kejriwal over his choice of the Principal Secretary in form of Rajendar Prasad who was under investigation.

“He chose somebody without due diligence or knowingly, so the man was under investigation, the complaints were under CBI. Why did he continue working with such a man, who was himself under a cloud and investigation and enjoyed very little credibility under bureaucratic circle,” she added.

Kejriwal earlier claimed that the CBI raided his office at the behest of Prime Minister Modi. He also went as far as to call the Prime Minister a ‘coward and a psychopath’.

“CBI lying. My own office raided. Files of CM office are being looked into. Let Modi say which file he wants?” Kejriwal tweeted.

“I am the only CM who dismissed, on my own, a minister n a senior officer on charges of corruption and handed their cases to CBI. If CBI had any evidence against Rajender, why didn’t they share it wid me? I wud hv acted against him,” he said in another tweet.

The CBI has registered a case against Kejriwal’s Principal Secretary Rajender Kumar for allegedly favouring a firm in getting contracts from Delhi government.

“FM lied in Parliament. My own office files are being looked into to get some evidence against me. Rajender is an excuse,” tweeted Kejriwal.

Refuting Kejriwal’s allegation on the raid on Chief Minister’s office, the CBI has said that the raid was conducted on the Principal Secretary’s office following a warrant.
