Karnataka Lokayukta Bhaskar Rao resigns

Bengaluru: Karnataka Lokayukta (Ombudsman) Justice Y. Bhaskar Rao has resigned from the anti-graft institution, according to an official statement on Tuesday. “The governor (Vajubhai R. Vala) accepted the resignation of Bhaskar Rao as Lokayukta with immediate effect,” a communique from Raj Bhavan said. Rao tendered his resignation letter to Vala in Raj Bhavan on Monday, the statement added.
