Dheradun (Uttarakhand): Police horse Shaktimaan whose leg was imputed after being allegedly attacked by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ganesh Joshi is recovering well.

Doctor Rakesh Kumar Nautiyal, who is taking care of Shaktimaan told that the horse’s condition is much better and that his wounds are healing.

“Shaktimaan’s condition is good, he is recovering well, and is eating properly. We are dressing his wounds from time to time and they are healing as well. Initially we used to use a crane to help him stand now he is doing it himself, from past four days he is standing on his own,” he said.

The decision to amputate the hind left leg of Shaktimaan was taken by district veterinary officers as the horse was unable to stand up even after an operation by a group of 10 doctors that lasted for four and a half hours.
