Haflong (Assam): Huge quantities of arms and ammunition were recovered by security forces from a forest in Assam’s Dima Hasao district today.
The Police and the Army in a joint operation conducted in the forest areas adjoining Lower Lodi village under Haflong police station of the district recovered the arms and ammunition, official sources said.
The seized arms include 13 gelatin sticks, 17 wired detonators, 163 live rounds of ammunition of AK-47 rifle and a country-made 12 bore rifle.
