High Court cancels sect leader’s bail

Chandigarh:  The Punjab and Haryana High Court Thursday cancelled the bail granted to controversial sect leader Rampal in a 2006 murder case.

Taking up hearing of his bail case, a division bench of the high court cancelled the bail which was granted to the self-styled godman in April 2008.

Amicus Curie Anupam Gupta, who has been assisting the court in the Rampal case, said that the court cancelled his earlier bail and allowed the Haryana Police to present him before the court Thursday at 2 p.m.
