Faridabad (Haryana): For voters in Haryana, corruption and development are the two key issues determining which political party has received their vote in the current Assembly elections.

Voters are hopeful of change and want equal development across the state.

Pramod Kumar Garg, a resident of Faridabad, said, “We have voted for two issues in our state. One is corruption and the other is development. Faridabad is not yet as developed as it should have been. It was an industrial city, but the previous governments have neglected Faridabad.”

Another voter Ankush, after casting his vote, said, “I have voted on the basis of development. Some issues here are of rainwater disposal and sewage issues. So I hope they will be taken care of.”

For women voters though, safety and end to atrocities against women remain the prime concerns.

“Corruption must end but the atrocities against women must also end. And there must be development as well. There must be such a government which would benefit everyone,” said Urmil Chopra, a senior voter in Faridabad.
