Fresh snowfall in Kashmir, Shimla brings cheer for locals

Srinagar : An unexpected spell of snowfall in Srinagar and Shimla on Monday brought cheer to the locals. The residents hailed the bout of snowfall as a solution to crop, power and water problems. “Snowfall is good for us and the landlords. It is a solution to many problems like crop, power and water,” said a resident of Srinagar. “We were facing illnesses like cough, running nose. Swine flu had also increased and by God’s grace this will be a solution to it,” he added. Locals, hoteliers and businessmen are also likely to benefit as the snowfall will boost tourism in the region.
