Washington: A former Danish motorcycle gangster who helped the U.S. catch Al Qaeda’s top leader Anwar Al-Awlaki by becoming a double agent has said that the Charlie Hebdo massacre shows that various terrorist sleeper cells are positioned around West to launch fresh attacks.

Morten Storm had his first dealings with Awlaki as an informant for Denmark’s national intelligence agency Security and Intelligence Service (PET), while the U.S.-born cleric was head of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

He said that said western countries must protect themselves by canceling the citizenships of homegrown radicals who travel to the Middle East to fight or train, reported Fox News.

Storm said that Charlie Hebdo suspects were likely among such Islamist terrorists in position and ready to carry out attacks.

He also said that these people act as normal members of society.
