Centre calls meeting of state food ministers to curb inflation

New Delhi : The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre has called a meeting of all state food ministers in the national capital to chalk out a strategy to tackle any crisis that may emerge from a possible deficient rainfall this year, including inflation. According to reports, the meeting, which will be presided by Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan and Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, will discuss ways to control unreasonable increase in prices of commodities. The Meteorological Department has reportedly stated that while the rainfall for June was above normal, it is expected to be deficient in July and August
