New Delhi: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Monday said the allegations of corruption against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) row is politically motivated and baseless.

“Kejriwal ji is trying to hide his failure and his corruption cases and putting false allegations on Arun Jaitley. He is blaming others in roder to hide his own corruption cases and the example is of recent raid by the CBI on his Chief Secretary’s office. This is not only shocking but also baseless. We are proud of Arun Jailtey ji and the whole party is with him. Infact the whole issue (DDCA issue) is cooked up and politically motivated,” Rudy told ANI here.

Rudy also blamed the Congress Party for the non-functioning of the ongoing Winter Session of the Parliament.

“Lot of work is pending in Rajya Sabha which is indeed an area of concern. It’s the job of the Parliamentarians to work for the benefit of the people. But Congress is bringing one issue after another and they are responsible for the frequent parliament disruptions,” Rudy said.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday filed civil defamation suit in Delhi High Court of Rs 10 crore against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leaders, amid a raging row over irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA)and allegations of corruptions against him by the Delhi Government.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress Party has demanded for the resignation of the Finance Minister from the union cabinet to enable an independent probe against him.

Hitting back, Jaitley had said in his blog that the AAP convener is trying to divert attention and protecting his corrupt Principal Secretary by linking it to the Delhi cricket body.
