The sight of child labour is common in India, be it construction sites, restaurants, newspaper stalls and not to forget households. We don’t even realise how big the issue of child labour in India is. While a ‘childhood’ is supposed to be full of happiness, innocence with no responsibilities and worries, a lot of children struggle to earn their livelihood. The number of cases we come across daily speaks volume about how much we care for the little ones around. To tackle the rising problem of child labour and to create awareness, the UN has declared June 12 as the World Day Against Child Labour.
