At a recent city event, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor termed the recent sexual assault on a young woman by a taxi driver in New Delhi as humiliating. What’s more, sharing his thoughts on such cases which are rapidly increasing in the society, the young actor said that every man should be ashamed of himself following the incident!
It’s known that an Uber taxi driver raped a 25-year-old business analyst in his cab while dropping her home in north Delhi on the fateful night of December 5. Talking about the incident, Arjun said, “Our country is only getting known for stuff like this. It’s such a sad thing that has happened, and yet again… the kind of check they (Uber officials) have done for that man to get selected (as a driver)…obviously there is negligence. So today, the government has to stand up and make sure that it never happens again. It’s very humiliating.”
Adding to it, the young actor further said that when incidents such as this happen, he doesn’t feel proud of being an Indian. Meanwhile, Arjun is soon be seen on the big screen sharing screen space with actress Sonakshi Sinha in their upcoming film ‘Tevar’. The film will hit screens on January 9 next year.
