The brutality of a two and a half year old toddler, Twinkle Sharma, from Aligarh, created an uproar across the country in the past few days. Among those who condemned it strongly on social media were Bollywood celebs. However, actress Swara Bhasker, who has always been vocal with her opinion on current affairs was a tad bit late.
The Veere Di Wedding star who was on a vacation in Russia, recently got back and even went on to tweet about it. She wrote, "Just back Frm #Russia after a break. Including social media break! Aligarh news truly horrifying- brutal murder of 2yr old #TwinkleSharma, devastating! Killers must be punished, a precedent set so that such a crime NEVER repeated. My solidarity, sympathy & support to the family."
While there was nothing wrong with her intentions, netizens did not appreciate her late approach. Some even went on to ask where her placard was, something celebs use to make a statement or trend a hashtag when major tragedies have struck the nation, or start a movement. The actress however didn't respond to these trolls.
