Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike is out in theatres today, and it’s based on a surgical strike which the Indian Army conducted in 2016 on terror launch pads at LoC. But, before the release, Vicky posted a video on his Instagram account where was on the plane pumping josh in Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Sidharth Malhotra, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao , Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Rohit Shetty.
Vicky travelled to New Delhi with the delegation to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In their private jet, Kaushal gathered all the actors to promote his film. Later at night, he shared a video on his Instagram where he says, “Guys I have something to say to you,” and then turns the camera towards all the faces of the stars standing behind him. He asks the group, screaming on top of his lungs, just like he does in the film, “How’s the josh?” And, like the soldiers in the film, the stars also screamed back together, “High, Sir!” They all also chanted ‘Jai Hind’ and when Vicky asks when is Uri releasing, they all say, “Tomorrow!”
The meeting with PM Modi was organised by Karan Johar to discuss the participation of Bollywood for the betterment of the country. Sharing his joy of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ranveer Singh revealed a picture from the evening. Taking to his Instagram, Ranveer shared the photo and captioned it as, ” Jaadoo ki Jhappi! Joy to meet the Honourable Prime Minister of our great nation @narendramodi.” In the snap, Ranveer can be seen embracing the Prime Minister in colour-coordinated outfits.
