Kareena Kapoor has always said what’s on her mind whether it’s about Taimur’s social craze, her step kids, and her love for her girl gang, or about working with someone. Bebo was slated to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on three projects over the years but one by one they fell through.
The first controversy was spiked when Sanja Leela Bhansali replaced Kareena with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the role of Paro. Followed by Kareena loosing Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela to Deepika Padukone.
Here are the times Kareena dissed Sanjay Leena Bhansali, and Deepika Padukone due to the past clashes.
Kareena took a jibe at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sense of morals and principles. “Sanjay Bhansali is a confused director. He is a person who does not stand by his word. He doesn’t have any morals and principles in life. Tomorrow, even if he is the next Raj Kapoor or Guru Dutt, and my films don’t do well and if I’m a flop actress, I will still not ever work with him,” Kareena had told Filmfare during an interview.
However, the actress last year confessed she hopes to work the director and called him a star crossed lover. “Maybe a movie with Sanjay Leela Bhansali (laughs). But for that, Taimur has to be at least 10 years old because I can’t leave him before that. That’s the joke between Sanjay and me that we are star-crossed lovers,” she had said during an interview when asked if there is any unfulfilled desire yet.
Kareena during Koffee with Karan took a dab at Deepika she said, “I don’t think I can wake up as Deepika as I can’t relate to her’ when Karan had asked her what would she do if she woke up as Deepika. At the time Deepika was working with Saif, Kareena’s then boyfriend.
Reportedly Kareena also walked out of Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express also lead to Deepika’s best career film. Then Kareena confessed she being mad but also added it was a good charity. “I’ve missed the chance to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But there’s always a next time. I’m the only actress who can boast of giving films to other actresses.”
Even though Kareena seems to have a hate relationship with the maker and Deepika, there is no bad-blood between the two. Kareena a mother of 2 year old Taimur is thriving in her career and has no time for petty gossip. Kareena has shown appreciation towards Deepika’s work in films like Piku and so has husband Saif Ali Khan.
Kareena will be seen next in Karan Johar’s multi starrer ‘Takht’ and Good News alongside Akshay Kumar.
