This Mumbai vs Delhi rap featuring Riteish and Vijender Singh is mind-blowing

The makers of ‘Bank Chor’ released the “BC Rap Knockout: Mumbai vs Delhi” song starring protagonist Riteish Deshmukh and boxer Vijender Singh. And no matter if you belong to Delhi or Mumbai you’re going to love this new rap song anyways. And if you don’t belong to either of the two cities, you will still like it.

“BC Rap Knockout” digs at some of the popular words and slogans from the lanes of Mumbai and Delhi and gives it a twirl, fashions it in a lyrical song and serves it with some hot rap. Olympian boxer Vijender Singh leads the Delhi side in the rap battle whereas ‘Bank Chor’ lead actor Riteish Deshmukh captains Team Mumbai. In the video, you’ll see both the teams pulling each other’s legs but at the same time, it’s just hilarious repartee done through some foot-tapping tap. The rap song takes motivation from film’s key characters. Riteish is playing Champak who belongs to Chinchpokli in Mumbai while his two sidekicks Genda and Gulab hails from Delhi.

The track, composed by Shameer Tandon and penned by lyricist Varun Likhate. Vijender has traded rap punches on the song, delivered to the voice of underground desi rapper Pardhaan, while Riteish’s voice is given by the original Mumbai gully rapper, Naezy. Both rappers are managed and represented by One Digital Entertainment, which collaborated with Y-Films on the special track.

Ever since the ‘Bank Chor’ trailer has released, the film has adopted a self-deprecating promotional strategy. The team has released some spoofs of famous posters including ‘Dangal’, ‘Tubelight’ and ‘The Dark Knight’
