Washington: Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ has crossed over the 500 million dollar mark internationally at the weekend box office.
The film, which is based on the books of J.R.R. Tolkien, has garnered 220.8 million dollars domestically, while its worldwide tally has managed to reach 678.6 million dollar, Deadline.com reported.
‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey collected 31.9 million dollars, while ‘The Desolation of Smaug’ garnered 29 million dollars.
