Those mind-blowing dimples aside, it’s Shah Rukh Khan’s sharp grey cells that ensure he remains the superstar he is… It’s the bigger picture that is always of ultimate importance and, with this in mind, the actor apparently keeps reminding his HAPPY NEW YEAR director Farah Khan to concentrate on the other characters in the film as well, such as Vivaan Shah or Sonu Sood.
He is well aware that each character is equally important in the final reckoning. So, while he might apparently hog the limelight in the centre of the film’s poster, the others needn’t be insecure – they are all assured their share of quality screen space. What helps is that none of the cast of HAPPY NEW YEAR are apparently going around with measuring tapes, ascertaining and comparing the length of their roles compared to others’. According to Farah, “Nobody has an ego problem, nobody wants to stand in the middle, nobody says ‘You’ve eaten my line’ or ‘I want to say that line’. Everyone is helping each other out during a scene and that is translating well on screen because if the chemistry doesn’t happen, then the movie won’t work as they are one team in the film.” It’s clearly Shah Rukh who’s setting the tone here!
Incidentally, we’re wondering just how successful the actor is being, with his attempt to be the disciplined daddy in the new year. Not long ago he had tweeted… “End of pool nights…gym fights…’Family Guy’… Chips in bed…’Mr.Lova Lova’. Kids’ holidays are over…back to being a grown up again. Hate it.” SRK and stop being a Mr.Lova Lova where his kids are concerned? Can’t see that happening!
