Mumbai: Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta filed a fresh complaint at Cine & TV Artists Association (CINTAA) on Friday and attached the new FIR registered this week with the Oshiwara police. The present FIR is against Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, film producer Samee Siddiqui and film director Rakesh Sarang. In the e-mail, Dutta has asked them to reopen the case. The fresh complaint was filed after Dutta’s lawyer sent a mail asking CINTAA to start or reopen the case.
Dutta’s lawyer Nitin Satpute mentioned in the e-mail asking CINTAA to take action on her complaint filed with them on March 27, 2008, which had taken them four months to address it. Satpute said, “According to CINTAA’s guidelines, they cannot take any case which is more than three years old, hence we are forced to file a fresh complaint with the association.” Spearheading the #MeToo movement, Dutta claimed that she was sexually harassed on the sets of “Horn OK Pleassss” by actor Nana Patekar in 2008 who forced the film’s team to shoot an intimate dance with her, which was initially just meant to be her solo number.
