Naapsee Pannu took our breath away with her powerful fight moves in BABY. For the girl herself, it’s food that takes her breath away! A diehard Punju to the core, the lass loves her state cuisine. Hot parathas ladled with ghee are the perfect start to her day, while other interesting variations include Chhole-Bhature and Puri-Aloo – calories be damned!
Clearly not one to let diets come in the way of good eating, Taapsee loves tucking into all things aloo, from Jeera Aloo, to Dum Aloo, to Palak Aloo and Methi Aloo. Other lunch favourites include Dal Makhni, Butter roti and chicken preparations, besides Shahi Paneer and Mutter Paneer. While she has a huge weakness for chaat, especially Delhi’s Gol Gappe, Dahi Bhalle, Papdi Chaat and Raj Kachori, she equally enjoys the capital’s fine dining options at China Garden, Bukhara, and the Italian eateries at Hauz Khas.
As a result of her booming career down South, Taapsee laps up South Indian delicacies as well though she has learnt the hard way (literally – the paneer she had ordered one turned out to be rock hard!) to stick to South Indian chicken preparations served with rice. The girl, who is all thumbs in the kitchen, reveals that she would even want her husband to be a perfect cook! “That’s one criterion I won’t ever compromise on,” she twinkles.
