Taapsee Pannu has always been known for her bold and power packed performances in the films. Recently, the Pink actress shifted in a plush new apartment in Mumbai. This time, Taapsee will be celebrating her first Diwali in her new apartment. After all, Diwali has always been one of the biggest festivals of India and Taapsee has many fond memories of the same.
When asked about the fondest Diwali memory, Taapsee told DNA, “It has to be the whole cleaning and decoration of the house that happens just before the festivities begin. I belong to a middle-class family, so we never had cleaners. We did everything ourselves. A few days before Diwali, we would go berserk thinking, ‘Aaj yeh kamra saaf karna hai, kal yeh kamra karna padega’. Once we were done, we would start decorating the house with flowers and lights.”
Apart from that, when the actress was asked about her contribution to the house for Diwali, she said, “I’m fond of making rangolis. I start prepping up a day before. We also paint our own diyas every year. In fact, my sister (Shagun) and I have a competition and decide whose are better. Last year, I had even posted a poll on Instagram (laughs).”
On the work front, Taapsee is all set to reunite with her Baby co-star Akshay Kumar in his next titled Mission Mangal. The film also stars Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menon, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi. Apart from that, Taapsee will be seen opposite her Pink co-star Amitabh Bachchan in Badla as well.
