Rumours were doing the rounds that the beautiful actress Sridevi would be seen in yet-untitled Tamil remake of ‘Drishyam’. But now, the film’s director Jeetu Joseph has rubbished the news saying that the Bollywood actress is “not part of the project”.

“We haven’t finalised the casting yet and Sridevi is not part of the project. As soon as we finalise our cast, we’ll make the official announcement. For now, only Kamal Haasan is part of the project and Asha Sharath from the original version may join us as well,” Joseph clarified in a recent interview.

‘Drishyam’, which was recently remade in Telugu as well as Kannada, has turned out to be successful at the box-office down south. As for Sridevi, the actress was last seen on the big screen in her comeback movie ‘English Vinglish’ which did well at the box office and was well accepted by both the audience and the critics. The actress, who is married to producer Boney Kapoor, has been seen in various public events ever since while her fans are eagerly waiting to see on screen soon.
