South actress Sri Reddy has been part of many controversies recently after alleging about being a victim of casting couch. She had said that she had been in sexual relationship with actor Nani and Abhiram Daggubati to get role in movies. However, actor Nani has denied her allegations, and now Tamil actor-director Varahi allegedly called her a prostitute.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, Varahi, in his statement, said, “Sri Reddy has been operating in a way which causes shame, bad image not only to the Indian culture, but also top the nation’s womenfolk. She herself has accepted to the fact that she slept with directors and actors for roles in movies. So, Sri Reddy must be booked on charges of prostitution, trying to get money through sexual allegations, bringing black mark to the women and society. Proper actions must be taken against her by the police,it stated. We will have to wait and watch to know if the police will do the same though.”
Sri, after the comment, lodged a police complaint against the actor-director with the Chennai police commissioner, according to multiple reports.
She also took to her Facebook account and slammed Varahi for his comment.
