Former actress Jiah Khan’s suicide case has undergone several tribulations for the past three years. The actress was found hanging herself at her residence on June 3 but this case later culminated into a murder trial after Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan accused the actress’ boyfriend and actor Sooraj Pancholi on the same.
Though as of now, the case is being considered as a suicide with Sooraj’s ongoing trial on abetment of suicide, Rabia refuses to bog down. On the other hand, lawyer of Sooraj, Prashant Patil has allegedly stumbled upon evidence that can change the course of the case. Patil has revealed that he has found evidence that prove that Jiah Khan had suicidal tendencies and was undergoing treatment for depression. He also claimed that any such details that are related to a victim’s hypertension tendencies should be put forth before the court and Rabia Khan failed to do so. He further questioned Rabia’s intentions on the same and accused her of keeping away a lot of information.
Yet another vital piece of information is an alleged mail sent by a certain D Bloom to the Mumbai police authorities in February 2015 regarding his son, who was previously accused by Rabia for sexually assaulting Jiah when she was fourteen. However the case was soon dismissed stating that the relationship between Bloom’s son and Jiah was consensual and now we hear that he is ready to come to Mumbai to even record his statement on the same. Further, Patil also added that Bloom has allegedly defied Rabia’s claims of being supportive to her daughters as he has apparently stated that the girls were often led to fend for themselves with Rabia staying away from them for months. They also claim that they have evidence to prove that Jiah had undergone an abortion when she was a minor.
Though lawyer Prashant Patil maintains that they have no intention to malign or defame the victim Jiah Khan, he further stated that he wants justice to prevail for actor Sooraj Pancholi who has also been accused of a heinous crime like rape.
