Ranbir Kapoor talks of advice given by his director.
Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar and director Ayaan Mukherjee were all present at the launch of the first look of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. In one of the scenes shown at the promo, Deepika says, “Main tumahare saath do minute bhi rahi toh muje pyaar ho jayega tumse. Phir se.”
Ranbir instantly took the mike from Deepika’s hand and added, “Our pairing worked before and then we agreed to do the film. However, at this point I would confirm that Deepika has grown over the years. I was astounded and happy to see her grow as an actress. She is exceptionally intelligent and has a cute smile. Therefore, it becomes damn easy for me to act lover-dovey with her.”
Another dialogue in the film states ‘Chabbis mein Shaadi…30 mein bachche’. To this Ranbir says, “For this dialogue you need to catch hold of Ayaan who made me say all this. I wanted to get married at the age of 26, but Ayaan advised me to wait. He told me not to get married as I had to concentrate on my career. Marriage can happen later. So Ayan is responsible if I don’t have kids now.”
Karan got fed up with all personal queries posed around Deepika and Ranbir’s one-time affair and strictly grunted at the media saying, “I had invited you guys for the launch of the trailer of ‘YJHD’. This is not a media interaction about being married and having kids.”
