The Bachchans have been the first family of Bollywood. This weekend, the Bachchan siblings: Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan appeared on the Koffee With Karan couch and had a lot of beans to spill. They not only had oodles of fun pulling each other’s leg but also made some serious revelations about their family dynamics. Now we know that there were many rumours about an alleged rift Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan a while ago but Shweta, at the chat show, quashed all the rumours by claiming that she admires Ash for being a fantastic mother, is self-made and is a strong woman. But she also truthfully answered what irritates her the most about her in a rapid fire session. She said that she tolerates that Ash takes forever to return her calls or messages. Now, Ash is known to be slightly introvert and in her own zone. She also leads a pretty busy life and therefore it is possible to get caught in work and not able to return calls. But overall it looks like both Shweta and Ash have a pretty chilled out relationship, unlike what rumour mills suggest.
On work front, Shweta has launched her own design label with Monisha Jaising called MXS and has been seen quite a lot in the limelight lately. Abhishek on the other hand came on screen after a long time with Manmarziyaan and has been working on Gulab Jamun with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He spoke why he took such a long sabbatical and the reason he came back on screen with Anurag Kashyap’s movie. Shweta also credited Karan Johar her plunge into fashion and inspiring her to charter new territories.
