Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Arjun Reddy’ Hindi remake to release next year; check out the date

New Delhi: The Bollywood remake of 2017 Telugu superhit ‘Arjun Reddy‘ starring Shahid Kapoor, is set to release on June 21 next year. The flick will go on floors next month.

T-Series, which is producing the film, announced the same on Twitter, writing, .@shahidkapoor starrer #ArjunReddy directed by @imvangasandeep produced by #BhushanKumar, @muradkhetani, Krishan Kumar & @ashwinvarde will hit theatres on 21st June 2019. This @TSeries & @Cine1Studios film goes on floors in August.

The original blockbuster starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles. The story revolved around Arjun Reddy, a successful young medical surgeon, who sets out on the path of self-destruction when his lady-love is forced to marry another man. Shahid is currently busy with his comedy-drama ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ which will hit the big screens on September 21 this year.

The film is about bringing the social issue of electricity shortage to the notice of people and to encourage authorities to investigate the inaccuracies of electricity bills. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
