Shah Rukh Khan has not quit ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achcha’, confirms writer Anjum Rajabali

Fans of Shah Rukh Khan can finally rejoice as all the talks of the actor quitting Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, the biopic of Rakesh Sharma is all false. When Cinestaan contacted Saare Jahaan Se Achcha writer Anjum Rajabali, to comment on the rumours which stated that SRK has quit the biopic to start shooting for Don 3. Anjum refuted the rumours and said, ‘No, it’s fake news’.

Rumours were rife that after the debacle of Zero, Shah Rukh was not confident to star in a biopic and hence informed the makers of the film about his decision. Some section of media also speculated that SRK wanted to start with the shoot of Don 3 and hence decided to quit Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. While writer Anjum Rajabali has confirmed that SRK is very much a part of the biopic, we wonder what the superstar has to say about it.

Talking about Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, the film is a biopic on Rakesh Sharma the first Indian citizen to travel in space. The name of the movie is derived from Rakesh Sharma’s own words which he uttered to Indira Gandhi. Interestingly, when former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi asked Rakesh Sharma how India looked from outer space, he said ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’ in response.
