The actor vies for Deepika Padukones attention but fails in real life.
‘Chennai’ Express brings Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone together once again. But instead of being in awe of King Khan, Deepika seems to have gone gaga over her director, Rohit Shetty.
“This is the first time I noticed this tall, beautiful heroine has fallen for the director Rohit. Leaving me aside she always seemed to be attracted towards him,” says the miffed SRK mockingly as he is not used to sharing the limelight.
Whether Deepika would have proposed Shetty in Tamil by saying ‘Naan unehn kadil irkeren.’ Shah Rukh immediately asks its meaning. When clarified he adds, “I love you! Oh! Then let me keep telling this ‘Naan’ to Deepika every now and then.”
Speaking about playing romantic onscreen characters he adds, “I have always played romantic characters differently just because all these characters have been written differently for me.” And also shares his definition of love by adding, “Love is a universal truth but every person will take it differently. It is the way they look at it. Love sees no boundaries. Unquestionably being in love one should not fail to respect their life as well!”
Thanking Balaji for shifting the release date of their film ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara’, he says, “All the films need to do well. We all work so very hard and invest so much of money. I humbly thank Jetendera uncle for when I requested him to shift the release date of ‘OUATIM-Dobara’, coinciding with ‘Chennai Express’; he instantly agreed to do so. This move will surely give space to each one’s film.”
However about his Chennai connection, he says, “Well! Yes! My team gave them a tough competition. And I won over the Chennai team, that’s how I am related to Chennai in real!”
Talking about his shoulder injury, he quips, “I have over ruled the pain now. I need to be in the sling for another four weeks. It has been a long process to get back to normal. However, I am rehabilitating in a much better manner.”
Ask him about his film releasing on Eid which has been Salman Khan’s forte for the past few years, he says, “Eid is a festival of love and celebrations. It is indeed great to be releasing our films on this pious day.”
