After days of speculation, Salman Khan clears the air about his plans for election. Madhya Pradesh Congress requested the actor to campaign for the party in Indore a few days ago. On Thursday, Salman took to his social media and announced that he won’t be campaigning for any party.
“Contrary to the rumours I am not contesting elections nor campaigning for any political party,” the tweet read.
Salman who has spent most of his childhood in Indore before moving to Mumbai always chooses to stay away from politics. The last time he was seen along with any party members was before the 2014 general election. He had participated in a kite-flying festival in Gujarat where BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had also taken part in the function.
“God will decide who is the best man for the country. May the best man win,” Salman had said after the event.
On the work front, Salman Khan has been in the news for all the right reason. The actor recently confirmed his reunion project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a film tilted, ‘Inshallah’ and how is also speculating joining the producers rank for Digital platform.
Salman’s upcoming film, ‘Bharat’ stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff. The film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar will release in June 2019.
