Sajid Nadiadwala is a very happy man these days. After the success and the acclaim that ‘Highway’ has landed his way, he is elated on being associated with such a project. “It’s a wonderful story told in a modest budget and I didn’t want to let go of an opportunity to work with Imtiaz,” said Sajid.
Another film ‘2 States’ is on the verge of its release and is produced by Nadiadwala as well and he seems very confident about this one as well. That film was green-lighted by 90% of the industry. “Whoever I went to, they wanted to do it because they had read the book. One of Karan’s directors had written a screenplay. I read it and loved it,” said Sajid.
He would also be seen being at the helm of ‘Kick’ for the first time with close friend Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. “It’s not too difficult to balance between being a producer and director. I now understand my directors much more than before,” confessed Nadiadwala.
Now after all this he would cast Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in his next venture and is pretty excited about that as well. He is very happy and confident about his collaboration with the kind of projects he is associating himself with.
“If I could, I would’ve had him on board four years ago. Our second movie with Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starts in July. We wanted to work on it first, but since we had a gap of six-eight months while planning it, we made ‘Highway’,” said Sajid.
