Rs 3.5 Crore per episode! ‘Game of Thrones’ top 10 expensive cast members and their net worth revealed

Game of Thrones managed to drop our jaws whether, it is the number of deaths we have seen or the amount the actors make each episode. The hit series was the most talked about show in 2018 when HBO hadn’t even released a single episode of the show, just as much shocker is the amount the core cast Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau make each season.

The show had made some of the cast members the highest paid actors in television. One big relief is that GOT’s core cast whether male of female all get paid the same amount as per their role, appearances and schedules. Let’s take a look at the top expensive cast members.

Emilia Clarke ($500,000) aka Daenerys Targaryen has a net worth of 13 million and has managed to earn approximately 16 million from the show. She has one of the biggest roles in the film and is proud of the fact that is paid as much as the guy co-stars.

Kit Harrington ($500,000) Jon Snow, who we all known by now is a half Targaryen has come back from the dead once and along with it also raised the stakes for HBO. The actor negotiated his per-episode salary from $300,000 (up to season six) to $500,000 for the last two seasons.

Peter Dinklage ($500,000) who can forget Tyrion Lannister, the actor and the character have been marked for history and there is no way he is getting paid any less than others. As one of the core cast members he too gets paid $500,000 per episode. The actor also had a major film career before he found his way to the hit series in films like, The Station Agent, Elf, and The Chronicles of Narnia.

Lena Headey ($500,000) the wicked queen of the Kings Landing Cersei Lannister has said to have negotiated her salary after Kit up from $300,000 an episode to $500,000 an episode around last season. The actress’s current net worth is $9 million.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau ($500,000) had also negotiated for Jamie Lannister in the show who has become the most favorite from the most heated characters. The actor for the final two seasons has been paid as much as his sister and love, Cersei Lannister.

Meanwhile, costars Sophie Turner ($175,000) Sansa Stark with a net worth 6 million gets paid lesser as compare her brother Jon Snow. She recently address the pay gap when talking to Harper’s Bazaar and said, “Kit [Harington] got more money than me, but he had a bigger storyline. And for the last series, he had something crazy like 70 night shoots, and I didn’t have that many.”

“I was like, ‘You know what… you keep that money.” she added.

The rest of the Starks’, younger cast relatively make lesser. Reports suggest even though they have last the longest and have a big role in the show their age is what makes HBO pay them less.

Maisie Williams‘s ($175,000) Arya Stark, the assassin and get paid as much as her onscreen sister. She will also be following her footsteps and entering the X-men universe with her next film, The New Mutants. Hopefully after the final season of GOT we will still get a chance to see them together.

Isaac Hempstead Wright ($175,000) who plays the infamous Bran Stark is the youngest of the lot and too gets paid $175,000 for his appearance in each episode. The actor has been missing from number of episodes and seasons in the past but his return to Winterfell has assured fans of his appearance in every episode for the final season.

The final season 8 of Game of Thrones will air in two weeks, on April 14.
