Rishi Kapoor questions World Cup 2019 squad’s grooming choices!

Actor Rishi Kapoor known to be witty and candid with his social comments raised a question on the recently announced world cup squad. The veteran actor who is currently getting treated in New York has been missing from the big screen since a year, but keeps in touch with his fans on social media.

Kapoor on Tuesday pondered if our cricketers would look good without beards since many of them prefer to sport a beard instead of a clean shaved look. He tweeted a screenshot of India’s World Cup squad and wrote, “Don’t take this picture as a reference point but why do most of our cricket players sport full facial hair(beards)? All Samson’s?(remember he had his strength in his hair) Surely they look smart and dashing without it. Just an observation!”

8 members including team captain Virat Kohli, Vice-captain Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah can be seen with beards in the picture.

Rishi Kapoor during interaction with Bollywood Hungama a few weeks ago said the break from work has proven to be therapeutic for him. He said, “My treatment is on, hopefully I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue. Thankfully, I am not thinking about films anymore, just want to be blank and refresh myself with a more relaxed mind. This break shall be therapeutic for me.”
