Rishi Kapoor who had set alarm bells ringing, when he had to be hospitalised for malaria and dengue, has been discharged from hospital. The veteran actor had to be rushed to Leelavati Hospital, Bandra, on Wednesday. A source close to the Kapoors reveals that the 62-year-old actor is absolutely fine now and was discharged on Thursday night.
Reportedly, the larvae of Aedes Aegypti, the mosquito that can spread dengue, amongst other ailments, were found around a plant in the actor’s Pali Hill home. A BMC insecticide officer shed more light on the same, revealing that the mosquitoes had been breeding on a tray used for keeping small Feng Shui-type plants. After the officials had informed the Kapoors about the same, the family immediately had it replaced. The suspicion is that it was due to this breeding, that Rishi Kapoor contracted the illness. Apparently, no trace of the mosquitoes was found during another inspection conducted by the BMC, which has also conducted repeated fumigation at the Kapoor residence. Tiny mosquitoes… Truly the great levellers!
Speaking of the Kapoors, last month, Ranbir Kapoor also had a stint in hospital. The actor had been admitted to Breach Candy hospital a day after his birthday celebrations, for a minor surgery. The operation was conducted on his adenoid tonsil.
