Richa Chadda is very excited about working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in ‘Ram Leela’. The actress reveals that in sync with her character’s name, she plays a spicy role in the movie.

“My role in ‘Ram Leela’ is very important. It is an integral part of the film. What exactly I perform for my role, for that you need to watch the film. The name of my character is Rasili, as the word describes the character is going be full of spice,” she smiles and shares.
On wearing a ‘ghagra’ in the film she adds, “I feel damn comfortable wearing a ‘ghagra’. Moreover it is very loose and gives us a total freedom of movement while shooting. We are definitely stressed during our performances and the heat of lights too makes it unbearable and this loose attire provides a sigh of relief. Sanjay ji is also very particular on choosing the colourful dresses for his cast. I really enjoyed wearing the ‘ghagra’ to my heart’s content.”
About her short journey she shares, “I am happy to have been offered different roles in different films like ‘Fukrey’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2’ wherein I played the pivotal character of Nagma Khatoon in the story-line. In the movie, my character matured from 16 to 60 years of age. She got the name of Miss Fire for her spirited portrayal in the epic movie.”
Comparing the experience of working with two ace filmmakers, she shares, “Working with Anurag Kashyap one thing is very clear that he unhesitatingly uses all the cuss words while Sanjay ji’s portrayal is full of etiquettes. However, both the directors have their ways of putting forth the dialogues. I have enjoyed working with both of them. Moreover getting great roles makes me feel so very wanted in this Bollywood industry. I hail from a non-filmy background and then whatever I am doing brings pride within me as well as my parents.” Making further comparisons, she added, “Sanjay sir’s sets are royal while Anurag believes in shooting in real atmosphere. Learning has been enriching while working with both of them.”
“Getting work ensures that I get my remuneration too. I do not have to ask money from my home. I belong to an affluent family, but working on your own and being able to manage yourself feels great. Now, whether the remuneration has hiked from the time I entered the filmdom you will need to find out from the producers. But I am happy with my present state of affairs,” shares the content actress.
Talking about her co actors, she says, “I know Ranveer Singh much before doing ‘Ram Leela’. It was indeed great to work with both of them. Deepika Padukone I know not much about but she is very encouraging. I have learnt minute things from her which will definitely help me in my performances.”
Sharing her plans after the completion of the movie, she shares, “After ‘Ram Leela’, I will be going on a holiday for almost two months. Thereafter, I will start the shoot of my next film ‘Jeeva’. In this I play a drug dealer. Also, I have ‘Ishqueriya’, in which I play a simple girl. So, performing different characters on reel brings in my acting potentials alive.”
