'I am not on Clubhouse': Prithviraj Sukumaran exposes fake profile with his name, calls the act 'criminal'

Malayalam actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his social media account on Monday to set the record straight that he is not on Clubhouse.

An imposter had set up an account in the actor's name, claiming to be him.

Exposing the fake profile, Prithviraj stated that the person not only used his photo, but has also mimicked his voice and used an ID which resembles his own Instagram ID. He added that it was a criminal act and ended the post saying that he is not on a clubhouse.

Sharing a screenshot of the fake account, he wrote on Instagram "Claiming to be me on social media is one thing. Claiming to be me, mimicking my voice, and using an ID that closely resembles my insta handle is all together criminal. Please stop this. I AM NOT ON CLUBHOUSE."

Clubhouse is an invitation-only social media app for iOS and Android where users can communicate in voice chat rooms that accommodate groups of thousands of people.

Meanwhile, on the work front, he has a lineup of films in his kitty including Aadujeevitham, Vaariyamkunan and Kaduva. Recently, he also announced that he will be acting in a film adapted from a short story of Vaikom Basheer Mohammed titled Neelavelicham.

Recently, Prithviraj presented the teaser of the Malayalam version of Sandalwood actor Rakshit Shetty’s upcoming Kannada movie 777 Charlie. Prithviraj’s home banner Prithviraj Productions is presenting the Malayalam version of 777 Charlie.
