Rannvijay Singh’s film career is hanging on the TRPS of his ongoing teleseries Pukar and apparently the man is not leaving any stone unturned to ensure he is wooing the directors if not the audience, he is hellbent to be noticed as an out and out action hero.
To drill his point home, Rannvijay recently did a Tom Cruise too, remember his glorified cliff hanging entry in ‘Mission Impossible’ nobody ever thought of recreating the scene. But the wait is over, the whole scene has been recreated and performed by Rannvijay.
What makes Rannvijay’s joust in the mountains more precarious is the fact that the man has done it all without any help of cable wires. Clearly, Rannvijay is set to portray the character of the Army officer he is playing in the television series Pukar to the tee and also grab as many eye-balls as he can while he is at it. According to the sources, whoever witnessed this shoot where stunned beyond belief that Rannvijay performed this stunt without any cable wires or body double. The cliff was very difficult to climb on yet with dedication and strength Rannvijay managed to do it perfectly.
Hanging from cliffs is not the only thing Rannvijay has ventured into for this television series, the actor has been going without a harness for most of his stunts, be it action sequences in a moving jeep or under water. Apparently for one such scene Rannvijay was to enter the frame through the water, the seeming harmless scene hit all time danger-o-meter cause the water had a cobra. While the crew were trying to plan another way out of the cobra-infested water, Rannvijay insisted he will shoot the way it was intended to be done. A mere cardboard was his only support!
