We all know that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are coming together for Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy drama, Brahmastra and now the first part of the trilogy has finally been ordained with an official release date. The film is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Recently, producer Karan Johar took to his social media account and confirmed the release date of the movie. He wrote, “PART 1!!!! #BRAHMASTRA #CHRISTMAS2019 @DharmaMovies written and directed by AYAN MUKERJI”.
This will be the first trilogy produced of the film by Dharma Productions. This film is a joint venture of Fox Star Studios and Namit Malhotra. The first part was earlier rumoured to be release on August 15, 2019. But it will now be releasing on Christmas 2019. The cast and crew recently completed the shooting in Bulgaria. ‘Brahmastra’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in lead roles.
Talking about ‘Brahmastra,’ Director Ayan Mukerji said, “Brahmastra is set in India as it exists today but the name of the film is Brahmastra because the energy, wisdom and powers in the film come from ancient India.”
