The actress apparently had to slip into many outfits including corsets and fishnet stockings as the song is inspired from the chic burlesque forms of the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret of Paris. “It was a really tough song for me to do and I’m glad it’s being appreciated,” said Priyanka.
The actress was having a rather tough time shooting for the film not only because of her wardrobe but because of her late father as well. It hadn’t been much after her father passed away that she resumed shooting and, just like the very strong Daddy’s Little Girl as she likes to call herself, she worked through the emotional turmoil that she was facing.
“I really admire Priyanka for the courage and determination that she displayed during the shooting of the song. She put in all her pain and converted it into an intense energy, which has reflected in ‘Asalaam e ishqum…” said director Ali Abbas Zafar.
Well, Priyanka has surely proved her mettle in many of her films and she’s clearly a tough girl who comes out with flying colours, whatever she does. It would take a very hard worker to juggle two careers on two different continents!
