For every bride to be, her engagement is sort of a pre-wedding bash that typically seals the bond. The excitement is no different for global star Priyanka Chopra who has been in the news for her alleged engagement to popstar Nick Jonas. Earlier, we reported of the duo having an intimate dinner date with their respective families at Juhu’s JW Marriot in Mumbai.
The roka ceremony is expected to take place today around 10 am at PC’s bungalow followed by a puja. The couple will be hosting an engagement bash for their extended family and friends in the evening at a five star hotel, since Priyanka prioritises her traditional side.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the couple will be wearing a traditional attire for the roka. Post the ceremony, the guests will be treated with authentic Punjabi cuisine, which is apparently Nick Jonas’ pick.
On the contrary, the theme for the bash is western with a menu consisting of some lip smacking Indian and continental food. Priyanka will supposedly be donning a gown. Nick who has already enjoyed Dal Makhni and Butter Chicken wants his family to indulge in the same as well.
As for pictures, it is being said that the media will not be given any insights on this private affair nor will the couple come out from the bash to pose for the media. We respect their privacy but are equally excited for one of the most awaited events of 2018.
