As Sanjay Dutt does not turn up.
The Supreme Court recently awarded actor Sanjay Dutt a five-year sentence in the 1993 blasts case. In July 2007, he was pronounced guilty for having AK-56 Rifle in possession and illegally possessing arms under TADA — Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act. His producers were all shattered wondering if he would be able to complete their film.
However, in a recent development, the ‘Policegiri’ shoot has got cancelled, as Sanjay Dutt did not turn up on location. Sources reveal that ‘Policegiri’ shoot was scheduled for March 25 at Film City, Goregaon. The leading lady Prachi Desai and the rest of the cast and crew reached the locations’ on time but Dutt who was required for the shoot was missing.
Our sources further confirm, “Prachi Desai seems to be quite worried about the completion of the film. This being a pivotal role for her she wants the film to reach the theatres on time. Her mother was overheard stating ‘I do not know what will happen now’.”
Well! The film’s producer T.P. Agarwal remained unavailable for comment.
With all political leaders and VIPs pleading in support of Sanjay Dutt owing to his good behaviour and having committed the deed in sheer foolishness’… to be exempted from the three and a half year, imprisonment judgment passed by the Supreme Court. Producers do hope the mercy plea of Sanjay Dutt to create some miracles.
