Plagiarism on board? Fan accuses IIFA of using her video as ‘tribute to Sridevi’

This year the International Indian Film and Academy was a grand a glitzy affair. Held at the Siam Niramit Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand the event was attended by several Bollywood stars. The special night stood out this year as everyone went gaga over veteran actress Rekha‘s performance.

The awards ceremony was telecast on Sunday. The social media witnessed a series of posts that marked the trending affair. One of the posts pointed out the moment when a tribute was given to Sridevi who passed away earlier this year. Although we respect the gesture, one user Saba Arif had uploaded a video on YouTube post Sridevi’s death, which was used in IIFA, as per her claims.

Arif took to Facebook to accuse IIFA of plagiarism. While there is no response to the allegation from IIFA as of now, it would be heart-breaking to see the issue wrecked on a public platform.
