There have been several instances when filmmakers have gone overboard while creating convincing content. This time, however, it’s not CGI gone wrong, but a real location that was taken a jab at in the recent movie Genius. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and debutant Utkarsh Sharma in the lead roles. But despite a strong star cast, a small blunder led trolls in action.
Apparently, in one of the sequences Lahore’s popular Arfa Karim Tower – a software technology park has been shot as Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters, which, in reality, is Islamabad. Fiction or not, it is indeed funny for our neighbours.
A Pakistani academic-computer scientist, Umar Saif took to Twitter and pointed out the mistake. Sharing the clip, Umar wrote, “Arfa technology park making waves beyond borders. P.S. Bollywood needs better script writers.”
