Bollywood actress Kajol celebrated her 44th birthday on Sunday and, as a special treat to her fans, the actress unveiled the trailer of her upcoming film Helicopter Eela. The movie features her playing a mother who starts studying at her teen son Riddhi Sen’s college.
While the trailer received a heart-warming response from fans and followers, it created an unwanted stir by missing out on the lyricist Swanand Kirkire’s credits which was pointed out by Sacred Games writer Varun Grover.
Rightly pointing out, he wrote, “This new film’s trailer is cut mostly on songs. They have credited everybody in the title-plate at the end EXCEPT the lyrics writer(s) (including Swanand Kirkire). All you need to know how dispensable they think we are. Shameful.”
Now, that he has brought to the notice, Ajay Devgn, who is co-producing the film apologised for this accidental blunder. “We accidentally missed out Swanand Kirkire’s name as lyricist from ‘Helicopter Eela’ trailer. Apologies, rectifying it,” Ajay tweeted.
To which, Kirkire replied: “Thank you sir! Very graceful on your part.”
Swanand Kirkire is a National Award winning lyricist best known for films like English Vinglish, Barfi!, Lootera, and Parineeta to name a few.
Directed by Pradeep Sarkar the film is set to release on September 7, 2018.
